On-demand journeys: Individual forms of transport complement the timetable

Not every destination can be reached by rail. The road network also plays a role in local public transport. However, scheduled bus transport is not the responsibility of the state government; here, the district and municipal authorities are responsible for ensuring the provision of transport.

You can book transport services on-demand in the districts of Ludwigslust-Parchim, Vorpommern-Greifswald, Rostock, Nordwestmecklenburg and Mecklenburgische Seenplatte.

In Ludwigslust-Parchim Order your "Rufbus" around the clock all year round online from the VMV timetable information system, via the Call bus form on the VLP website or by phone on 03883 61 61 61. The pre-registration time is at least two hours. Special needssuch as the carriage of a wheelchair, bicycle or large dog, as well as journeys with more than 4 persons. please register by telephone on 03883 61 61 from Monday to Friday (6am-6pm). On Sundays and public holidays as well as on 24.12. and 31.12. there is no telephone acceptance of orders for special needs.

The "ILSE" operates in the districts of Vorpommern-Greifswald and Mecklenburgische Seenplatte. The "ILSE"-bus operates in the districts of Vorpommern-Greifswald and Mecklenburgische Seenplatte. This bus runs without a timetable and can be booked easily by phone, via the Internet or by smartphone using a QR code. The "ILSE"-bus operated from Monday to Friday between 8:00 and 18:00 (except on public holidays) unless there is a scheduled bus service within 30 minutes.

In the Rostock district you can book "rubi" ! It is the flexible alternative for journeys in the districts of Mecklenburgische Schweiz, Gnoien and Tessin as well as the city of Teterow. Within the operating hours, "rubi" takes you from your departure point to your desired destination. You can use "rubi" from Monday to Friday between 8:00 and 17:00. Bookings can be made up to 60 minutes before or 60 minutes after a scheduled service for the respective route. You decide the departure time as well as the departure and destination point yourself within the on-demand bus areas.

In the district of Nordwestmecklenburg , the NAHBUS on-demand bus will take you to a transfer stop and from there you can continue your journey on a scheduled service. Call the free service number 0800 63 46 287 or simply use the on-demand bus booking form (nahbus.de). Please make sure to book your journey 60 minutes before the departure time and up to 24 hours before the departure time if, for example, you will have a pram, child seat or wheelchair with you. You can contact the on-demand bus service by telephone from Monday to Friday from 5:30 to 18:00 and on Saturday and Sunday from 7:00 to 12:00 and from 12:45 to 17:00. The on-demand bus operates from Monday to Saturday from 6:00 to 18:00 and on Sundays and public holidays from 8:00 to 18:00.
