Consultant for railway infrastructure (m/f/d)
What tasks await you?
Within the Transport Economics and Digitalisation department, you will be responsible for the technical management of the railway infrastructure project group with one other employee and report directly to the head of department. Your responsibilities will focus on the identification and conceptual justification of necessary expansion measures for regional rail transport. You will support the identified requirements in the planning, application and implementation stages within the framework of the Municipal Transport Financing Act (GVFG) and other infrastructure funding programmes of the European Union, the federal government and the state. In addition to close coordination with the Ministry of Economics, Infrastructure, Tourism and Labour of the State of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, you will communicate independently and actively with the public authorities, the official bodies, planning offices and other stakeholders.
What do we expect from you?
- a university degree in the fields of transport, civil engineering or industrial engineering
- Several years of professional experience in the field of railway infrastructure and experience in the implementation of grant projects are an advantage
- In-depth project management knowledge
- Knowledge of the financing and decision-making structure of railway infrastructure in Germany
- High decision-making and communication skills both internally and externally
- Assertiveness and cooperation
- Openness towards the digitalisation of processes and use of these for the performance of tasks
