Possibilities of financial support
Every measure that leads to an increase in the economic efficiency of the state's transport companies or raises its attractiveness for passengers contributes to strengthening local public transport and securing it in the long term.
For this reason, the VMV provides financial grants for investments in the further development of local public transport.
Municipal authorities, railway undertakings and transport companies can apply for funding for the realisation of further projects.
In particular, VMV promotes measures to improve the transport infrastructure, digital distribution and control structures, regional and on-demand bus services, but also customer-oriented cooperation projects between individual operators, replacement services on the road and the establishment of alternative forms of transport.
